Unusual vintage heart-shaped gold-toned souvenir watch fob or pendant commemorating the 1906 visit of the U.S. Naval Fleet to the Pacific Coast. The front shows a uniformed portrait with raised text: "VISIT OF U.S. NAVAL FLEET 1906 REAR ADMIRAL EVANS TO PACIFIC COAST." Reverse is plain with an indecipherable maker's mark just above the oval indentation (formed during creation of the piece). -- 1 1/4" x 1 1/8".
-- Good condition for age with expected surface wear and tarnish throughout with areas of verdigris and discoloration.
